Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a British/Lebanese lawyer, human rights activist, and charitable philanthropist. Following her graduation from the Oxford University School of Law she went on to pursue a successful and long-lasting career in human rights as well as international law. The clients she has worked with include the people of Armenia which is fighting the Turkish government for the acceptance and apology for the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney was engaged, and then married to American actor George Clooney, instantly making her one of the most famous names in the world of pop-culture. Before that, she was already famous and loved in the legal world because she consistently represented her clients effectively and with success. Her work ranges between social justice and human rights to representing corporations in negotiations or court cases regarding federal regulations. From 2015 onwards, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she was a barrister.
