Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. As a child she attended the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. From the age of six Emma knew she would like to be an actress and for many years she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. As part of a school production and a Stagecoach show, she was the lead at the age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents via her Oxford teacher. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast to play the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's screen debut took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in 2001. The most successful film of 2001 it set new records for its debut day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The film was praised by experts, and also by the performance of three starlets. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read, called her performance commendable. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the film.
