Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole daughter to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she was sixteen. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
